Monte Julia is located in the "Belver de Cinca" County, in the province of Huesca, in the middle of the "Denominación Vinos de la Tierra del Valle del Cinca". This "Denominación" , nowadays with more than 450 ha. (aprox 1000 acres) dedicated to grape growing, its characterized for being a very adecuate area for grape growing, and agriculture in general. The annual rainfall averages 300 mm.

The edafic catalogation of the soils is very variated, with predominance of sandy and loamy soils. Another remarcable characteristic is its wide topography, which allows and favors different microclimates, according to the influence they receibe in each individual area. Two well differentiated strong influences are the bank of the Cinca River or the Pirynee Mountains. After studying and analyzing different locations within Monte Julia five fields were chosen to plant vines. These five areas take advantage of their well differentiated microclimates in order to obtain strong varitial flavours and aromas.
