Grapevine native of Bordeaux (France), probably the most popular red wine variety in the world. Small and rounded berries. Its intense colour and tanic structure favors its aging process in oak barrels for a long time. Its typical aromas are mainly hervaceous, chocolate and gooseberry.

Genetically related to Cabernet Sauvignon. Wines usually are softner and less tanic. It often has a vegetal hervaceous character.
Merlot
Native from France. Its wines are dark with bluish shades. Thick skin. Its sweet tanins and its generous aroma gives its wine a unique personality.Its the most widely planted variety in the world.
Graciano
Typically grown in Rioja (Spain). Low production red wine variety. Its wines are rough and acid, rich in colour. Ideal for aging.
Syrah
Easy to work with. Easily attack by grapevine diseases such as Powdery mildew (Botritys disease). Smoth red colour and red fruit aromas.
Tempranillo
Typical spanish red variety. Gives good and well-structured quality wines. Smoth colour and cherry, plum and raspberry aromas.
